About Lauren Locke
My background
Mother. Business Leader. Community Advocate. Proven Problem-Solver.
I am a proud mother of two, a seasoned executive, past small business owner, and deeply engaged community leader with over 25 years of experience living and working in Fulton County and Sandy Springs.
As Chief Operating Officer of a successful wealth management firm based in Sandy Springs, I’ve built a career on driving growth, creating solutions, and delivering results. I know how to manage budgets, lead teams, and navigate complex challenges, skills I’m ready to bring to City Council on day one.
I earned my degree in Journalism from Georgia State University, with a minor in Psychology. My academic foundation in communication and human behavior has served me throughout my career, whether leading in the corporate world, managing community projects, or mentoring future leaders.
In addition to my corporate roles, I’m a previous small business owner, having founded and operated a local yoga and barre studio that served a wide range of patrons, including former NFL athletes, military veterans, and children with special needs. I understand the challenges local entrepreneurs face and I’m a strong advocate for small business as the backbone of our community.
I’ve dedicated countless hours to serving the community through hands-on involvement:
Former HOA Treasurer and infrastructure project leader
Chair of neighborhood sidewalk improvement committee
Active volunteer with the Community Assistance Center (CAC), Chattahoochee Nature Center, and local recycling programs
School and youth organization volunteer through Queen of Angels, Blessed Trinity, YMSL, and NCL
Educational sponsor of children in Tanzania through the Ubora Foundation.
Founding member of “North End Sandy Springs Improvement Coalition” Facebook page.
- College sorority advisor and lifelong mentor to young women
Born on a military base and from a proud family of service members, I bring a deep respect for public service and a personal commitment to supporting our veterans and first responders.
Whether leading in the boardroom, giving back to the community, or working side-by-side with neighbors, I deliver leadership that’s rooted in real-world experience, not theory and I’m ready to get results for the people of Sandy Springs.

About Lauren Locke
Why am I running?
Sandy Springs is a vibrant city with enormous potential, but for too long, the North End has been overlooked. I’m running for City Council because it’s time to revitalize this part of our city, restore prominence in our neighborhoods, and promote responsible economic growth that reflects our shared values.
This is a pivotal moment for Sandy Springs. With thoughtful leadership, we can attract new businesses, create thriving restaurants and retail spaces, and support homeownership and smart mixed-use development that strengthens our community.
Public safety is also a top priority. I will work closely with our law enforcement officers and firefighters to ensure they have the resources they need to keep our families and neighborhoods safe.
Having lived in Fulton County for over 25 years, and as a longtime resident of Sandy Springs, I understand both the challenges and opportunities we face. I’ve watched my own children grow up here, riding their bikes at Morgan Falls, Riverside, and Azalea Parks. Like many of you, I live, work, and invest my time in this community because I care deeply about its future.
As your representative, I will partner with local business leaders and city stakeholders to drive sustainable economic development. I believe in honoring our natural assets, such as the Chattahoochee River and the surrounding landscape, as we plan for a prosperous future for all of Sandy Springs.
